As HMR continues to grow, we are seeking experienced and motivated Underground Diamond Drillers to join our expanding operations.
The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Underground Diamond Drillers for opportunities across Western Australia and New South Wales.
Working with a modern fleet of underground drilling equipment, you will be responsible for delivering safe, productive, and high-quality drilling outcomes while maximising your earnings through our industry-leading tiered metre bonus structure.
The more metres you drill, the greater your earning potential.
About the Projects
Our current Underground Diamond Drilling opportunities are based across established gold mining operations in the Kalgoorlie region, Mid West Western Australia, and Central West New South Wales.
These projects range from close-knit underground mining operations through to large-scale gold producers, providing a variety of drilling environments and strong long-term career opportunities.
Accommodation is provided and may include camp-style accommodation, tavern accommodation, or fully furnished residential housing, depending on project allocation.

Key Responsibilities
Operate HMR drilling rigs safely, efficiently, and productively
Achieve drilling production targets while maintaining quality standards
Understand geological formations and core sampling techniques
Mentor and support Drill Assistants
Conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance
Maintain accurate drilling records and reporting
Comply with all site procedures and promote a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
About You
Previous experience as an Underground Diamond Driller
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
National Police Clearance issued within the last 12 months
A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
Required Licences & Tickets
The following licences and tickets are required for this position:
Current Manual Driver's Licence
Cert II or III in Drilling Operations
Desirable Licences & Tickets
The following will be highly regarded:
Cert IV in Drilling Operations
Additional industry training and certifications




Previous experience across multiple underground drilling rig types
