The mission
As an A220 First Officer, you'll operate across a diverse network in a highly professional, multi-crew environment.
You'll contribute to on-time performance, exceptional safety standards, and a great passenger experience while progressing your career on one of the most productive narrow-body jets flying today.
Minimum requirements
Total time: Minimum 500 hours in fixed-wing aircraft
Multi-crew readiness: MCC course completion certificate or equivalent
Instrument approach proficiency: IAP 2D and 3D
Licensing: CASA licences only — fATPL (ATPL theory credits), IR, and ME
Medical: Class 1
Language: ICAO ELP Level 6
Plus one of:
200 hours in command of a multi-engine aircraft (excluding PICUS)
200 hours in command of a turbine-powered fixed-wing aircraft
200 hours on aircraft certified for operation by a crew of two pilots (multi-crew)
Note:
Type rating not required; training is provided on the A220.
Additional requirements
Eligibility to hold an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
Willing and able to pass drug and alcohol testing
Current passport with unrestricted access to all countries Qantas operates to, with at least 12 months validity
