Tyre Fitter / Rural Labourer
Regional North West Queensland | Accommodation Available | Potential Sponsorship
Looking for genuine regional work in Australia with the opportunity to build a longer-term future?
We are a family-operated livestock and rural business in North West Queensland, with established beef cattle and livestock transport operations and a growing regional tyre business.
We are looking for a reliable, fit and hardworking Tyre Fitter / Rural Labourer to join our team.
The primary focus of the position will be tyre fitting, as we expand our existing tyre supply business into a full tyre supply and fitting operation.
The role will also involve fencing, property maintenance and other general manual work as required.
The Opportunity
Our tyre business has already been supplying tyres throughout the region.
We are now expanding into tyre fitting, creating an opportunity for someone to join the business at an early stage and help build this part of the operation.
The tyre work will primarily involve:
* Fitting and removing tyres
* Changing tyres
* Mounting and demounting tyres
* Fitting tyres to cars, 4WDs, trailers, trucks and agricultural equipment
* Wheel and tyre handling
* Preparing tyres and equipment for customers
* General tyre shop and work area duties
There will also be a variety of general rural and manual labour, including:
* Fence construction and repairs
* Property maintenance
* Loading and unloading materials
* General labouring
* Other practical work as required, You will work directly with the owners and be supported as the tyre-fitting side of the business grows.
We are looking for someone who can eventually work independently,



take pride in their work and become an important part of the business.
This is an opportunity to join a new and growing tyre-fitting operation serving the North West Queensland region.
About the Employer
We are a family-operated rural business with interests in beef cattle, livestock transport and regional services.
About the Candidate
Previous tyre-fitting experience is preferred but not essential.
Training and support will be provided to the right person.
You must:
* Be physically fit and capable of manual labour
* Be comfortable lifting and handling heavy tyres
* Have a current forklift licence, or be willing to obtain one
* Be reliable and hardworking
* Be willing to learn
* Be able to work independently
* Be comfortable working outdoors and in regional conditions
* Be practical and willing to have a go
* Be safety-conscious
* Be able to take direction and responsibility for your work
* Mechanical, agricultural, heavy-vehicle, tyre or fencing experience will be highly regarded.
* Any tyre, mechanical, agricultural, fencing or construction experience
* Whether you currently hold a forklift licence or are willing to obtain one
* Your driver's licence details
* How long you are looking to stay in the region
* Whether you are interested in a potential longer-term opportunity
Experience is preferred, but attitude,



reliability and a willingness to work are just as key.
