THE POSITION
The Moreton Bay College isseeking a Secondary Teacher to fulfil the middle management position of Head of House from Term 1, ****.

The Pastoral Care system involves all members of the community, and a specific staff structure to explicitly focus on the development of outstanding pastoral care in the College.
The Head of House Role
Heads of House have a vital leadership role and are influential in enhancing the College culture.
They are responsible for the implementation of initiatives that will impact positively on the College community and on the development of quality relationships
Heads of House are well placed to interpret the College vision and mission statement and it is expected that Heads of House are role models and examples to all members of the College in their behaviour, demeanor, attitude and practices.
They are pivotal in the communication between the College Secondary Leadership Team, staff, students and parents.
To nurture quality relationships in the House system,
Heads of House must have a knowledge and understanding of the school and the goals and objectives of the Strategic Plan

What You Bring
QCT registration (or eligibility).
Experience teaching secondary subject.
Demonstrated experience in pastoral care and student wellbeing
Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
A commitment to fostering student growth and belonging.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A passion for educational excellence and holistic development.
What we provide
This is a Full time role with the Teacher base salary to be classified based on experience on appointment as per the Moreton Bay College Enterprise Agreement.
This position will also attract a Secondary PAR Level 2 allocation as per the Moreton Bay College Enterprise Agreement.
Tenure: PAR positions are appointed for five years.
SELECTION CRITERIA
SC1 Demonstrated ability to use evidence-based practice to provide a positive and stimulating pastoral environment that results in improved outcomes for students.
SC2 Demonstrated ability to lead and design quality pastoral programmes informed by data, pastoral knowledge, gender appropriate pedagogy and student wellbeing.
SC3 Educational leadership skills to build the capacity of individuals and teams in a changing educational environment including those pertinent to restorative practice and wellbeing education
SC4 Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships with students, staff and parents.
SC5 Demonstrated ability to implement processes, structures, resources (human, , physical) and documentation to ensure students, staff and families are informed and supported.
