Senior clinical leadership role with supervision and service development opportunities

About the role
As a Senior Psychosocial and Discharge Coordinator (Grade 4), you will provide senior Occupational Therapy leadership within the McKellar Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of high-quality, recovery-focused care for consumers with complex mental health and psychosocial needs.
You will play a key role in coordinating allied health services, therapeutic psychosocial programs and discharge planning, while providing clinical supervision and support to junior allied health clinicians.
Key responsibilities
Provide advanced Occupational Therapy assessment and evidence-based interventions for consumers with complex mental health needs
Coordinate allied health coverage and therapeutic psychosocial programs across the service
Lead and support comprehensive, consumer-centred discharge planning and community linkages
Provide clinical supervision, guidance and professional support to Grade 2 and graduate allied health clinicians
Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, audits and service development initiatives
A qualified Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration and relevant clinical experience
Advanced clinical skills and experience working with people experiencing acute mental health and substance use disorders
Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to allied health staff
Experience facilitating psychosocial groups and delivering recovery-focused, evidence-based interventions
Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills, with a commitment to consumer and family-inclusive care
