We're looking for a reliable and hands‐on Café All‐Rounder with strong Barista skills to join World Vision Australia's social enterprise cafés on a casual basis.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, crafting consistently excellent coffee, and creating a warm, welcoming environment for every customer.
You'll also be supporting an organisation committed to empowering Australians to create meaningful change for the world's most vulnerable children and adults.
About the role
We are looking for a reliable and hands‐on Café All‐Rounder / Barista to join our team at Little Things Café Blackburn.
The role includes a
regular Thursday shift
, with additional casual shifts available across the week, typically
4–7 hours per shift
, depending on business needs.
We are ideally looking for someone who is
adaptable and available to support additional shifts, changes to hours or days, and occasional fill‐in shifts
when required.
Strong barista skills, a positive attitude, reliability and the ability to work well as part of a team are highly valued.
What you'll do
Prepare and serve quality coffee and café beverages, with solid barista skills required for the role
Deliver warm, attentive customer service, including table service
Use the POS system to take orders and process payments
Assist with food preparation, including sandwiches,
simple kitchen prep and other all‐rounder duties
Support kitchen operations including dishwashing, cleaning and restocking
Help with end‐of‐day closing, pack‐down and maintaining a clean, organised café
About you
Strong barista skills and experience preparing consistently high‐quality coffee, with the ability to assist with basic kitchen preparation and food service
Confident in customer service and creating a welcoming environment
Reliable, organised and comfortable in a fast‐paced setting
Willing to be hands‐on across coffee making, service, kitchen prep, cleaning and occasional shifts at either café when needed
Positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
