Sheetmetal Worker / Fabricator – $*****/hr Day Shift The Company Our client is a global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of automotive products including heavy machinery used in mining and construction.
Their product range includes truck, marine, forklift and office seating as well as spare parts, trimming and more.
Benefits: Join a supportive team with a great company culture Full time hours in a busy manufacturing environment Temporary-to-permanent opportunity after 6 months Career development and opportunities for progression Job Details Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm Hourly rate: $*****/hr + Super Immediate start for the right person Responsibilities Duties Reporting to the floor Supervisor you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, modifying and repairing metal components used in vehicle seating systems.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions and specifications.
Fabricate, cut, bend, shape and assemble sheet metal and steel components used in automotive seat frame manufacturing.
Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, guillotines, punches, rollers, drills, saws, and other workshop machinery.
Perform MIG/TIG welding and finishing of seat frame components.
Assemble and fit seat frame structures, brackets,
rails and associated components using jigs and fixtures.
Inspect fabricated and assembled components using measuring equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
Work collaboratively with production, engineering, quality and maintenance teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures, safe operating practices and company policies.
Requirements Trade qualification in Sheet Metal Work, Engineering Fabrication or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
Previous experience in sheet metal work, fabrication, welding or manufacturing environments.
Ability to read and interpret design and engineered drawings Experience operating sheet metal and fabrication machinery.
Competent in MIG welding and general fabrication techniques.
