Registered Nurse - Scrub/Scout (Ophthalmology) Kingswood, Sydney NSW Permanent part time $42 to $52 per hour Shift starts at 6:30am and 11:00am About the role Carejobz is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse with genuine ophthalmic scrub/scout experience for a private hospital in Kingswood, within Sydney's Nepean Health Precinct.
The hospital operates four theatres and a 12-bed ward for overnight stays when required.
Ophthalmology makes up the main surgical workload, alongside a varied range of other specialties.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity for a nurse who can contribute confidently in the scrub/scout role and work across the hospital's two shift patterns, with starts at 6:30am and 11:00am.
What you'll be doing Scrubbing and scouting for ophthalmic surgical lists Preparing and maintaining the sterile field, instruments and equipment for each case Anticipating surgeon and procedural requirements during ophthalmic cases Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary theatre team Supporting safe,



efficient patient flow across a busy day-surgery environment Contributing across other surgical specialties where your verified experience supports it What you'll need Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse At least one year of Scrub Scout nursing experience Demonstrable ophthalmic scrub/scout experience - essential Current eligibility to work in Australia Availability to work the required shift patterns, including the later 11:00am start National Criminal Record Check Working with Children Check Strong clinical judgement, safe work practices and a collaborative approach What's on offer $42 to $52 per hour Permanent part-time employment A four-theatre private hospital environment A predominantly ophthalmic case mix with exposure to additional specialties A team described by its Director of Nursing as good and hard-working Free on-site parking is often available for the later shift, with additional street parking nearby If you are an experienced ophthalmic Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse looking for a permanent part-time opportunity in Western Sydney, we would like to hear from you.
