This is a hands-on, varied role within a busy building supplies environment, combining customer service, yard duties, order preparation, and trade sales support.
What's on Offer ASAP Start Monday to Friday day shift Temp-to-perm opportunity $40 per hour + penalties Supportive team workplace Ongoing training and development Opportunity to develop trade sales skills Work with a well-established supplier to the building and construction industry About the Role Assisting builders, tradespeople, and customers with product enquiries and order collections Providing friendly and professional customer service both face-to-face and over the phone Preparing, picking, and checking customer orders accurately Updating picking slips, order information, and customer records Using computer systems to process orders, reports, and day-to-day administration tasks Supporting the efficient operation of the yard and maintaining a clean, organised,



and safe workspace Loading and unloading building materials as required Working closely with the wider team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time Building positive relationships with regular trade customers Learning the trade sales side of the business and assisting customers with product recommendations over time What You'll Need Previous experience in building supplies, landscaping supplies, timber, hardware, trade retail, customer service, or a similar role Confidence interacting with customers, builders, and tradespeople Sound computer skills and willingness to learn new systems Ability to accurately update orders, picking slips, and reports Strong communication and customer service skills A proactive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to learn Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor yard environment Reliable, punctual, and a team player Forklift licence highly regarded but not essential APPLY NOW!
