Position Overview

At KBR, our Adelaide team is trusted to deliver some of Australia's most complex and impactful infrastructure projects across Defence, Water, Resources and Industrial markets. Backed by a collaborative national network of technical specialists, we work together to solve challenging engineering problems and create solutions that leave a lasting legacy. We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities
n
n
Leading and contributing to the delivery of mechanical engineering design packages
n
Defining project scopes and developing practical engineering solutions
n
Preparing concept, preliminary and detailed designs for mechanical and hydraulic systems
n
Designing infrastructure including pumping stations, treatment facilities, industrial plants and process systems
n
Developing technical specifications and selecting appropriate equipment and materials
n
Coordinating with construction contractors and supporting project delivery activities
n
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to designers and developing engineers
n
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
n
Contributing to design innovation,



standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives
n

Skills & Experience Required
n
n
A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
n
Experience delivering detailed design projects within infrastructure, industrial, water, resources or Defence environments
n
Strong knowledge of Australian engineering standards and industry practices
n
Experience working directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams
n
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
n
Highly Regarded Experience: Hydraulic modelling experience
n
Pipe stress analysis experience
n
Experience using software such as CFD, FATHOM, WaterGEMS or CAESAR II
n
n
Essential Criteria

Be an Australian Citizen
n
Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance
n
Be ITAR eligible – As this team supports Defence programs, access to certain information and technologies is restricted to ITAR-eligible personnel.
