Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is constructing the Eva Copper Mine in Cloncurry, QLD with first production targeted for the second half of the **** calendar year. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.
About the role
Join our Brisbane based team as a Principal Project Support, where you'll play a key role in developing, governing and continuously improving project support frameworks, systems and processes that enable the successful delivery of capital projects and operational initiatives.
The role provides expert advice and coordination across contractor engagement, procurement, contract administration, claims management, negotiations, contract performance monitoring, and construction and service delivery strategies.
Acting as a critical link between project teams, internal stakeholders and external delivery partners, the role ensures project arrangements are effectively planned, administered and governed. This includes ensuring alignment with project objectives, risk management requirements and organisational policies while supporting efficient and successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain fit-for-purpose engagement strategies for construction, technical services, consulting, specialist services and other project delivery requirements
Advise project teams on delivery models, packaging strategies,



contractor engagement approaches and sequencing of project support activities
Develop, implement and maintain project support systems, procedures, registers, workflows and controls required for effective project delivery
Ensure obligations, approvals, correspondence, records, variations, claims, performance data and key decisions are captured and maintained in accordance with organisational requirements
Support project teams in the preparation, evaluation, clarification and recommendation processes associated with project sourcing and award activities
Coordinate and support negotiations with external delivery partners, service providers and specialist advisors where required
Coordinate the assessment, review and resolution of claims, variations, disputed items and other contractor administration matters
Establish and maintain processes for monitoring contractor performance, obligation compliance, service delivery outcomes and emerging risks
Act as a senior interface between project teams, internal support functions and external delivery partners
Identify and escape risks associated with contractor performance, claims, project support systems and delivery governance
About you
Significant experience in project delivery, project services, contractor administration, construction support, claims coordination or related project governance roles




Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain project support systems, registers, workflows and governance controls
Strong understanding of project delivery lifecycles, scope management, approvals, variations, claims, negotiation support and contractor performance monitoring
Excellent stakeholder engagement, written communication, negotiation support and problem-solving skills
Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, construction management, quantity surveying, business, law or a related discipline (desirable)
Experience in major projects, capital programs, infrastructure, resources, energy, industrial, engineering or construction environments (desirable)
Professional accreditation or training in project management, contract administration, claims management, risk management or governance (desirable)
Experience supporting complex multi-party delivery environments with multiple work packages and external service providers (desirable)
