We are seeking an experienced Lawyer in our Litigation Unit in the Brisbane CBD office. You will be a confident and qualified Lawyer, with robust advocacy skills, negotiation skills and the ability to influence others. It will be advantageous if your experience relates to litigation and advice work in a regulatory environment and if you have experience in conducting criminal and civil court proceedings.
This position requires:
Excellent communication skills including the ability to write clearly, succinctly and with attention to detail and the ability to influence, develop and maintain relationships, negotiate and collaborate with a range of key stakeholders on complex legal matters.
Knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Environmental Law, Planning Law, Criminal Law, Statutory interpretation, Litigation procedure and legislation administered by the Department.
An ability to effectively manage complex individual litigation files with limited supervision including applying high-level analytical, problem solving and research skills.
A demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and contribute to team culture.
