The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for translating Category Marketing strategies, product priorities and brand campaigns into retailer-specific activations that drive retail sales growth, market share and return on trade marketing investment. Working closely with Category Marketing, Sales and Retail Partners, the role ensures product launches, promotional campaigns and brand communications are effectively executed across physical and digital retail environments. Acting as the key link between category strategy and retail execution, the Trade Marketing Manager develops and delivers retailer marketing programs that maximise product visibility, Share of Voice, digital shelf excellence, customer conversion and promotional effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
Translate Category Marketing strategies, product priorities, new product launches and brand campaigns into retailer-specific marketing programs that drive sales growth, market share and customer conversion
Develop and execute integrated retailer marketing plans across key accounts including Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Bing Lee and other channel partners
Maximise product visibility and conversion across retailer digital and physical touchpoints, including retail media, digital content, catalogue activity, eDMs, social, sponsorships and in-store POS
Partner with Category Marketing and Sales teams to ensure retailer activations align with broader business, category and commercial objectives
Evaluate retailer marketing opportunities and recommend optimal allocation of trade marketing investment to maximise effectiveness and return on investment
Measure and report on retailer marketing performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve traffic, conversion, Share of Voice, sales performance and ROI
Drive digital shelf excellence across retailer websites through optimisation of product content, imagery, ratings and reviews, syndication, Share of Voice and online visibility
Lead planning and execution of retailer product launches, promotional campaigns and activation programs to ensure consistent and effective market execution
Build solid partnerships with retailer marketing, eCommerce and merchandising teams to improve visibility, discoverability and performance of products across retail environments
Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers and service partners to ensure all trade marketing activity is delivered on time, on budget and to the required standard
About you
Tertiary marketing qualification with minimum 5–8 years experience in trade marketing, channel marketing, retail marketing, product marketing or a similar role
Understanding of consumer electronics industry, retail marketing, marketing communications, brand marketing and advertising agency/PR culture and processes
Previous experience working with retailers, sales teams and external marketing partners
Strong understanding of how products and campaigns are brought to life in both physical and digital retail environments
Experience coordinating product launches and promotional campaigns
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Excellent project management, planning and organisational skills
Strong written communication and presentation skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Demonstrated competence in use of Microsoft Teams and Cloud PC environment
