Process Engineer
to join our
Interior Systems
business based at
Coopers Plains
. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our
World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
journey, identifying improvement opportunities, leading transformation initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes across our operations.
About the Role
As Process Engineer, you'll partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering and Procurement teams to drive continuous improvement outcomes across multiple manufacturing sites.
You'll be instrumental in deploying World Class Manufacturing principles, analysing operational performance, leading improvement projects and supporting significant capital investment and optimisation programs.
This role combines technical expertise, project leadership and stakeholder engagement, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to CSR's manufacturing transformation agenda.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and ongoing maturity of
World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
initiatives across multiple sites.
Identify, analyse and prioritise operational improvement opportunities through data analysis and process evaluation.
Deliver continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity, efficiency, quality and cost performance.
Act as the key link between site operations and the WCM Centre of Excellence, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive engagement, accountability and sustainable change.
Support major capital projects, manufacturing optimisation initiatives and equipment upgrades.
Embed Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles into daily operations.
Monitor and sustain implemented improvements to ensure long-term business benefits are achieved.
Coach and develop operational teams in Lean tools, problem-solving techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
About You
You're a curious and results-driven engineer who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and enjoys identifying opportunities to improve processes, performance and efficiency.
Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar).
Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, mining or a related industrial environment.
Exposure to
World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
frameworks and methodologies
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis
Experience delivering process improvement initiatives and operational change projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
Ability to influence teams and drive sustainable behavioural and operational change.
Experience supporting capital projects, plant upgrades or manufacturing optimisation programs. (highly regarded)
