ACCOUNTS OFFICER

Position Details
n
St Joseph's College is a Catholic school catering for students from Three-Year-Old to Year Twelve. The College is located in Albany which is approximately 410km south of Perth.
n
The Accounts Officer is required to:
n
n
Be supportive of the ethos and mission of Catholic education.
n
Have a sound knowledge of accounts payable procedures.
n
Excellent data entry skills with an emphasis on speed and accuracy.
n
Work cooperatively and positively with the school community.
n
Be prepared and able to work until 4:15pm
n
n
Selection Criteria
n
n
Manage supplier records and payments in the Zycus supplier management system.
n
Receivable point for goods delivered to the College.
n
Process orders, invoices and statements.
n
Process payments to creditors.
n
Processing of all monies received and undertake daily banking and mail duties.
n
Prepare general ledger entries.
n
Petty Cash management.
n
Administrative duties as required.
n
n
Essential
n
n
Demonstrated sound accounts payable skills.
n
Excellent computer skills – E.g. Microsoft Office Suite.
n
Professional written and verbal communication skills to the highest level.
n
Demonstrated excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
n
Have the capacity to work autonomously and as a member of a team.
n
Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information.
n
Hold and maintain a Working with Children Check and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
n

Desirable
n
n
Financial experience within an educational setting.
n
Knowledge of Administration of Schools (AoS) software package and Zycus
n
n
