The Supervisor is a senior technical and delivery-focused role with high client interaction. The role is responsible for reviewing work, providing technical guidance, supporting workflow management, and actively participating in client meetings. The Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining quality standards and supporting the development of junior team members.
This role is located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Engagement
Maintain regular client contact and assist in managing client relationships
Assist in client meetings covering annual compliance reviews, tax planning, business performance, and structuring discussions
Respond to client queries with a high level of professionalism and technical accuracy
Support Managers and Principals in delivering end‐to‐end compliance and advisory outcomes
Accounting, Taxation & Review
Review financial statements prepared
Review income tax returns (company, trust, partnership and individual)
Provide guidance on income tax, CGT, small business concessions, FBT and GST
Assist with ATO correspondence, reviews, objections and queries, as required
Ensure compliance with ATO lodgement, regulatory and professional standards
Provide technical advice and guidance on tax law and compliance matters
Ensure work meets quality, accuracy, and compliance standards
Assist with complex tax issues and escalations
Team Support & Workflow
Assist with workflow coordination and deadline management
Act as a point of escalation for technical and process queries
Support and mentor accountants and offshore team members
Contribute to training and capability uplift within the team

Qualifications
6–8 years' experience in business services and taxation within public practice
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline
CPA or CA qualification
High-level tax law and review expertise
Demonstrated experience supporting and reviewing team output
Skills and Attributes
Solid technical knowledge and review capability
Confident communicator with clients and internal stakeholders
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Collaborative and supportive leadership style
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
