An established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Surveyor to join its growing land development team.
You will lead the delivery of complex cadastral and subdivision surveying projects across residential, commercial and infrastructure developments.
Working closely with senior leadership and internal engineering teams, you will combine technical surveying expertise with project management, team leadership and client engagement.
The position provides genuine autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and development of the surveying function.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing cadastral and subdivision surveys across NSW
Coordinating fieldwork, plan preparation and project documentation
Delivering delimitation, redefinition, strata and stratum surveys
Reviewing and certifying plans in accordance with BOSSI requirements
Managing project budgets, resources, programs and deliverables
Providing technical surveying advice during planning, design and construction
Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams
Building relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, councils and government authorities
Leading and mentoring junior surveying team members
Preparing proposals, scopes of work and fee estimates
Maintaining strong survey data management and quality assurance standards
Supporting improvements across systems, technology and project delivery processes
To be successful,
you will have:
A Bachelor's degree in Surveying or an equivalent recognised qualification
Approximately 10 to 15 years' experience within the land development industry
Current registration as a Surveyor with BOSSI NSW
Accomplished experience across all aspects of cadastral land surveying in NSW
Strong knowledge of relevant NSW legislation, regulations and surveying standards
Demonstrated experience leading surveying teams and managing projects
Solid practical fieldwork experience
Experience across subdivisions, boundary definition, redefinition, strata and stratum surveys
Proficiency in 12D, AutoCAD, total stations, GPS and relevant surveying technology
Strong plan certification, data analysis and quality assurance capabilities
Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
A current NSW driver's license and White Card
