Requirements
A qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
Ideally 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant, Accountant, or similar finance role
Strong understanding of month-end accounting, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations
Experience with statutory reporting and compliance
Robust analytical, problem-solving skills, and high Excel/financial systems capability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process and system improvements
Experience within mining, resources, construction,



civil, or a similar project-based environment is highly regarded
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and complete month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and review of the general ledger.
Prepare and review P&L; and balance sheet accounts and assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting.
Complete balance sheet and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure outstanding items are resolved.
Prepare, reconcile, and lodge statutory obligations including BAS, Fuel Tax Credits, Payroll Tax, TPAR, FBT, and superannuation.
Support year-end reporting and external audits, whilst maintaining and improving financial controls, procedures, and accounting systems.
Work collaboratively across Finance and the wider business, providing support and oversight across AP, AR and Payroll where required.
