Vitragroup is creating a new Product Manager | Acoustics role to lead its expansion into the architectural acoustics market.
This is a unique chance for an experienced acoustics professional to take ownership of a new product category and help shape the strategy, product range, technical offering, and commercial growth of the business.
Based in Emu Plains or Mona Vale, NSW, you'll work closely with senior leadership, manufacturing, sales, customers, architects, engineers, consultants, and testing laboratories.
About the Role
You'll be Vitragroup's technical and commercial expert in acoustics.
From defining the initial product range and materials through to product testing, compliance, pricing, market positioning, and customer engagement, you'll play a key role in building the acoustics business from the ground up.
This is not a traditional product management role. It combines technical acoustics expertise with commercial thinking, product development, and market growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of Vitragroup's initial acoustic product range
Identify products, materials, substrates, and components required for market entry
Research market trends, competitors, pricing, and customer requirements
Develop product positioning and commercial strategies
Provide technical acoustic advice to customers, architects, engineers, and sales teams
Interpret acoustic laboratory reports, test data, and performance results
Work with accredited testing laboratories on product testing and certification
Ensure products meet relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements,
and industry expectations
Lead new product development and continuous improvementEvaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods
Develop technical specifications, installation guides, and product documentation
Support product specifications on major construction projects
Deliver technical presentations and product training
Build relationships with architects, acoustic consultants, engineers, and key customers
Identify new market opportunities and support commercial growth
About You
You're an experienced acoustics professional who understands both the technical side of acoustic products and what it takes to bring products successfully to market.
You'll bring:
Extensive experience in the acoustics industry, ideally within building products, architectural acoustics, or construction acoustics
Strong understanding of acoustic materials, substrates, grades, classes, and applications
Strong knowledge of acoustic principles, testing methodologies, and performance requirements
Experience interpreting acoustic laboratory reports and test data
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirements relating to acoustics
Experience in product management, product development, technical support, or a similar role
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of product pricing and market positioning
Excellent project management and organisational skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to build relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
Significant industry experience and demonstrated technical expertise in acoustics will also be considered.
