Right across the state, we are committed to exceptional care, accommodation, and support services for older Western Australians.About the role:Whilst working as a Chaplain you will direct pastoral and spiritual support and coordinate the provision of these services to our residents, clients, staff and volunteers.
We have residents with differing requirements, most have dementia, and you will need to be flexible and empathetic, with the ability to communicate effectively in all situations.Key Responsibilities:Provide appropriate pastoral and spiritual care in response to identified needs and referralsPromote holistic, person-centred care by assessing and evaluating residents'spiritual needs to enhance their spiritual fulfilmentCoordinateappropriate responses to needs through the direct provision of support or by arranging and facilitating other relevant servicesDevelop robust collaborativerelationships with staff and volunteers involvedin the care of individuals and provide supportto family membersensuring a team approach to pastoral and spiritual carePrepare and conduct weekly church services that embrace multi-faith perspectivesPrepare and conduct memorial services as requiredDevelop local resources for site to utilise in end of life scenariosLiaise with organisations of other religions to arrange services at the facilityComplywith Juniper values, policies and procedures and work within a Christian ethosKey requirements:Completion of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent – desirableExperience in a pastoral care role, preferably within an agedcare or health settingAble to exercise an impartial pastoral ministry to aged people, regardless ofrace, creed or faith, including an awareness of the core tenets of the main Christian denominations and major world religionsExperience in working with those with DementiaPastoral or theological training or qualifications (or training in a related field)A Pastoral referenceWhat's on offer:Attractive rate of pay plus 12% superannuationNon-profit values driven Western Australian aged care providerAll employees have access to Juniperks an online platform that unlocks exclusive retail discounts, employee perks, wellness initiatives and peer acknowledgementSalary Packaging up to $18,550 per annum tax freeHealth Insurance discountsEmployee Assistance Program with free counsellingFree parking on site
