Operating within a fast-paced environment, they manage diverse procurement activities across heavy machinery spare parts, food products, building materials and other industrial commodities, with a strong focus on export operations.Your new roleReporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end procurement function and ensuring products are sourced, purchased and delivered to meet customer and business requirements.Your duties will include:Raising and processing purchase orders across multiple product categoriesSourcing products from local and international suppliersLiaising with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and lead timesCoordinating export shipments and working closely with freight forwarders and logistics providersMonitoring orders and ensuring on-time delivery to customersManaging supplier relationships and resolving supply issuesMaintaining accurate purchasing records within the ERP systemSupporting inventory management and stock replenishment activitiesWorking closely with internal stakeholders to meet customer expectations and project deadlinesThis is a high-volume role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, can manage competing priorities and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will have:Previous experience in a Purchasing Officer, Procurement Officer or Supply Chain roleStrong administration and organisational skillsExperience processing purchase orders and managing supplier relationshipsExposure to freight, logistics, export or international purchasing activities will be highly regardedStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience using ERP systems and Microsoft OfficeThe ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environmentA proactive approach and strong problem-solving capabilitiesWhat you get in returnIn return, you will join a supportive and growing organisation that offers a varied and challenging role within a energetic environment.
