Youth Focusis looking for aMental Health Clinician to join our dynamic Meekatharra team!
FIFO Mental Health Clinician position | 1:1 roster Local accommodation and flights to/from Perth covered!
Parental Leave coverage | fixed-term until August **** From$49 p/hr + super + salary packaging + LAFH allowanceAbout the RoleReporting to the Service Manager, the Mental Health Clinician will deliver high-quality intake and mental health response to young people local to the Meekatharra area.
Key responsibilities include:Increase client access to services by providing care through a flexible model of service, conducting sessions as and where appropriate and safe for both client and practitioner (including groups where suitable)Work closely with young people, their families, and community services to ensure safe and high-quality care practices during the engagement, assessment, and service deliveryConduct initial screening assessments and deliver effective and culturally appropriate therapeutic intervention and care coordination including assistance in the referral of young people to other service providers.Participate in regular clinical case review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure appropriate clinical service pathways and service deliveryRepresent Youth Focus at external community events to strengthen relationships with local stakeholders and young peopleCapacity to work flexibly to meet the needs of the communityAbout YouRelevant tertiary qualifications (Social Work, Psychology, OT, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling)
and current full registration/membership with a professional bodyA passion for working with young people and working in regional/remote communitiesExtensive experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and awareness of cultural protocols when consulting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peopleExperience in providing clinical and early intervention services to young people and families, including undertaking screening and assessment to determine a young person's needs and level of riskProficiency and experience in using electronic recording systems and database applicationsTeam player and have the confidence to communicate effectively with a range of diverse individuals and enjoy working to achieve the desired outcomes of the organisationA current 'C' class Driver's LicenceTo successfully become part of our team, it is just as key to align with our values as it is to meet our selection criteria.
