Forklift Driver / Storeperson – 2IC (Engineering Workshop)?
Full time | Structural Steel & FabricationWe're seeking an experienced Forklift Driver / Storeperson to join our busy structural steel workshop.
This role acts as Second-in-Charge (2IC) to the Operations/Warehouse Manager, ensuring yard and dispatch operations run safely and efficiently.A current forklift licence is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts safely in a steel yard/workshop
Load/unload long, heavy steel and fabricated components
Maintain yard organisation and traffic flow
Ensure load restraint and transport compliance
Step up as 2IC and lead toolbox talks when required
What You Bring




Valid forklift licence (essential)
Proven experience in structural steel, fabrication, mining, or heavy transport
Confidence handling long, awkward loads in high-risk environments
Strong safety awareness (SWMS, load restraint, incident reporting)
Ability to coordinate lifts, truck movements, and urgent material flow
Calm, practical leadership with a hands-on attitude
