The Chance
Reporting to the Group Manager, Enterprise Data Solutions, you will provide advanced analytics to support the adoption of data-led decision-making across the Group, with a particular focus on the Construction division and its operational and strategic priorities.
In this role, you will translate business priorities into curated data sets using quantitative analysis, statistical techniques, and trend analysis, while supporting the evolution of a mature, scalable analytics capability.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the Construction business to deliver insights that drive project performance, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities Include
Partner with the Digital Data Product Manager and business stakeholders to shape problem statements, translate requirements into technical specifications, and deliver data-driven solutionsTransform data into high-quality datasets that enable effective decision-making and support delivery of business prioritiesApply quantitative analysis, statistical techniques, and trend analysis to uncover patterns, identify drivers,
and generate output that support business decisionsAssist in identifying opportunities to apply predictive and advanced analytics, including scenario modelling and basic data exploration using SQL, and contribute to the development and testing of these use cases while building capability in this areaSupport the development of insights and analysis that explain trends, drivers, and performance, moving beyond basic BI reporting, visualization and defect managementAssist in identifying opportunities to apply predictive or advanced analytics, and support the team in testing and developing these use casesMonitor and highlight data quality issues or gaps in reporting, and work with the Data & Analytics team to improve data reliabilityStay up to date with Data & Analytics tools (including Power BI) and apply new features to improve reports and insightsSupport the business by helping users understand and use dashboards and insights confidentlyWork closely with SMEs and technical teams to resolve issues, refine requirements, and ensure outputs meet business needs
What We Are Looking For
At least 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst for a large and structured organisationConstruction industry experience is essentialStrong experience with PowerBI is essentialDegree in a Computer Science or quantitative discipline (e.g. Engineering, IT, Finance, Statistics or similar)Intermediate understanding of data structures and data warehousing conceptsFoundational understanding of analytics concepts, including exposure to forecasting or predictive modelling, with a willingness to develop in this areaGood communication skills, with the ability to explain insights clearly and work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
