The VACCA team is committed to the organisation's visions and values, passionately providing support, service and advocacy for our children and other vulnerable members of the community.Our strength lies with our people.About the roleThe Case Support Worker delivers culturally respectful assistance to clients and/or carers, aiding in tasks like transportation, appointment attendance, and participation in educational, therapeutic, cultural, or leisure activities within the client's Case plan and allocated funding.
The Case Support Worker works alongside the Care Services teams (TCP, Kinship, Foster Care).
The Case Support Worker will collaborate with the relevant Case Manager and Team Leader, who lead planning for the children and families receiving support.About YouDemonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA' vision and purposeDemonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communitiesAbility to engage and build and maintain connections with Aboriginal children and families using culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, strength-based approach.Understanding of child protection and out-of-home care systems, including permanency and reunification goals.Sound administration skills, including the ability to record case notes, maintain files,
