Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport is currently seeking a casual kitchen steward to join our busy evening kitchen team.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipmentMaintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigeratorsReceiving and organising deliveries to the kitchenSupporting the chefs and other kitchen staff in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washingRemoving kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes
What we need from you:
Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or cleaning experienceExperience working in a busy kitchen setting and working to deadlinesFlexible- available to work 3-4 evenings per week casually when neededStrong - be able to lift, push and pull incoming orders up to 23kgWillingness to learn new things and work as part of a wider hotel teamAustralian working rights
