Disability Support WorkerKirrawee NSWPPT - 61 hours a fortnightMust be happy to do some personal careMust have Drivers Licence and Full Comprehensive Insurance.This role follows a 4-week rotating roster totaling approximately 120 hours over 4 weeks.
The roster includes:Morning shifts between 6:00am and 3:00pmAfternoon and evening shifts between 2:00pm and 10:00pmA combination of weekday and weekend workRegular Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday shifts, with alternate weeks including Sunday and Monday afternoon/evening shiftsOwn It – How we get the job doneLifestyle Solutions provide innovative and flexible person-centered support for people living with a disability.
Support Worker to assist a customer to become more independent, in their own home and in the community.As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:Mentoring and skill development – guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbiesCoaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skillsAdministering medication and adherence to individual support plansCompleting explicit, concise and factual handover notes and incident reportsProviding personal care such as toileting, showering, feeding and dressing when requiredHelping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activitiesPersonal care is a must, and must be comfortable and knowledgeable in doing so.Epilepsy management knowledge is essential.Community Access will also be a requirement at certain times.Strong understanding of mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, mood disorders).
Understanding of mental health crisis management.Basic computer skills (data entry, record keeping, scanning, printing).
