This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in keeping machinery running reliably — and who's ready to get out into the field when a breakdown can't wait.Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, fitting, assembly and fabrication of the machinery, equipment and mechanical components that keep our operations moving — especially through the peak agricultural seasons when uptime matters most.What you'll be doingFitting, assembling and repairing mechanical components, machinery and equipment, from diagnosing the fault through to testing the fixDiagnosing and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including hoses, cylinders, valves, pumps and fittingsCarrying out scheduled and preventative maintenance on machines, trucks, trailers and workshop equipmentResponding to breakdowns in the workshop and out in the field,



and working efficiently under time pressure during busy periodsKeeping the workshop protected, organised and well stocked, and maintaining accurate job and maintenance recordsWorking safely and in line with all OH&S; policies and proceduresWhat we're looking for2–3+ years' experience in a similar fitting/mechanical roleA relevant Australian-recognised trade qualificationA current driver's licence (forklift licence highly regarded)Strong problem-solving and communication skillsA proven ability to operate machinery to a high standardSomeone well organised, detail-focused and comfortable working both independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to work Monday to Friday with some overtime and occasional weekends as requiredYou'll be part of a close-knit team where your work directly keeps Logan Contracting's operations running.
