Job TitleDisability Support WorkerTerms of EmploymentFull-timeLocationMount Isa, QueenslandSupervisorOperations ManagerRenumeration$79,423 per annumAbout Abilifly Support ServiceAbilifly Support Service is a registered NDIS provider that specialises in providing in-home and community support to people with a disability, children, teenagers and young adults.Role ResponsibilitiesBe respectful and communicate well with family members of those who you work with as you will be working in the participants family homes.Be able to think on your feet and be able to adapt to different situations and participants.Support the people we care for to grow their skills basis and abilities to perform tasks to help live a meaningful and good life.Support to develop and maintain independence and safety.
This may be through personal care and hygiene, health and wellbeing, meal preparation or supporting them to access the community and activities.Implement Behaviour Support Plans, where required,



aimed at supporting the individual who demonstrates challenging behaviours to achieve their goals.Implement routines and structures set out by Allied Health Teams.Please note that you may be required to work morning, afternoon and active overnight shifts depending on what will be required of the participant which will include some weekend and public holiday shifts too.Some travel may be required to clients who are outside of the Mount Isa region.Essential CriteriaPhysically fit and activeThe ability to develop a positive relationship with the participantExcellent communication skillsThe ability to work with children with disabilitiesAble to work in a rapid-paced environmentAbility to acquire NDIS Worker Screening CheckAbility to acquire a Working with Children's CheckFirst Aid Certificate is desirableA minimum Cert III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability or Diploma in Caregiving (or equivalent) is desirableWhat we can offerWell above award wages at $79,423 per annumGreat Work/Life balanceFull training and coaching to always up your skills and developmentThe chance to take a holiday whilst working with our participants24/7 Oncall support
