This role is ideal for an experienced nurse with a passion for cardiac care and clinical education.

About the Role

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and the Staff Development Manager, you will play a key role in supporting staff development within the Cardiothoracic/Cardiac ward.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering high-quality, evidence-based education and clinical support.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs relevant to the department.
- Coordinating mandatory and non-mandatory training and in-service sessions.
- Contributing to the hospital's quality improvement and safety initiatives.

About You

You are a dynamic and motivated nursing professional with a strong clinical background in leading a team.

You are passionate about clinical education and professional development, with a commitment to supporting excellence in patient care within a multidisciplinary team setting. Your leadership, communication skills, and dedication to continuous improvement make you a valued mentor and team member.

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including at least 4 years in a relevant specialty area.
- Cardiothoracic, Cardiac and/or Vascularexperience/knowledge.
- Proven experience in clinical education or preceptorship in formal and informal settings.
- Sound knowledge of evidence-based practice in a clinical environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.




- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac Nursing.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or Postgraduate qualification in Education (or prepared to work towards).
- Completion of a Preceptorship Program.
