Job Summary
The Resource Planner is an enabler of service excellence by securing the right resource at the right time, at the right place and with the right scope, responsible for accurate and predictable planning of field activities, internal development, and mandatory solutions. Using process expertise, understanding of demand patterns, skills management, and planning tolls, the role works closely with Service Account Representatives, CSO Support Administrators, Project Managers, Service Delivery Managers, Training & Development Experts, Learning Experience Managers and Upgrades managers to secure reliable execution, reduce lastminute changes, increase productivity, and strengthen customer satisfaction, equipment performance and Occupational, Health and Safety aspects of the Services deliverables.

What you will do
- Use Field Service Management (FSM) and automated planning tools to perform resource planning for all field activities (Services, Installation & Commissioning Projects, Calibrations, Trainings, MRKs/AOs, Upgrades) with high accuracy, ensuring the right resources are assigned at the right time based on skills, location, readiness and demand.
- Demonstrate agile resource planning by proactively identifying alternative resource allocation solutions for urgent and last minute demand by collaborating with SDMs, Project Managers and SDEs without compromising delivery quality and customer commitments.
- Proactively manage stakeholders' expectations through timely, transparent, and comprehensive communication, including to provide regular updates on resource allocation status, potential constraints, risks, and available alternatives.
- Proactively initiate escalation calls with stakeholders across CSO, Market Operations, and PS&E; to drive resource prioritization decisions when urgent last-minute requests arise and resources cannot be assigned.
- Ensure high-quality scope validation and alignment with requestors, incorporating planning checkpoints and Quality of Scope principles.
- Ensure compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by providing timely responses and updated and resource allocation requests within stipulated timeline, including those urgent requests received outside standard business hours when required by business priorities.
- Support Market in understanding mid and short-term demands and capacity/capabilities constraints and coordinate capacity adjustment actions through own regional resources, cross regions or outsourcing.
- Make sure SDEs have proper documentation and tools & templates required for the work prior arriving on site by informing relevant stakeholders that support preparing the documentation and tools logistics.
- Analyze long-term capacity constraints (skills, workforce load, availability, tools & templates) and propose resourcing strategies including cross-regional support, outsourcing, or rebalancing.
- Provide early visibility to stakeholders across relevant organizations on potential resource shortages, bottlenecks, and escalation risks to enable timely and joint decision-making.
- Understand FlexZone strategy and list of preferred suppliers for own markets.
- Manage exceptions through FlexZone escalation process.
- Own and understand planning processes and tools and use them during daily activities and interactions with stakeholders.
- Plan internal training demands, following competence development plans prepared by SDMs/TDEs ensuring engineers have the competencies required for future market needs.
- Understand Mandatory Kits' scopes and applicability to support accurate planning across customers.
- Coordinate stakeholders to ensure timely kit installation, prioritizing critical solutions and tracking delays or risks.
- Monitor MKRs' implementation efficiency, analyze discrepancies (Technical Bulletin vs actual), and provide structured feedback to D&T.;
- Coordinate with Service Delivery Engineers (SDEs), Corporate Travel, HR, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate timely visa, work permit, and immigration processes, enabling regional resource deployment to optimize chargeable utilization and address short-term demand peaks.
We believe you have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in resource planning, workforce management, project coordination, service operations, or a related operational role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage urgent and last-minute resource demands through creative and agile planning approaches.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions, regions, and organizational levels.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and drive alignment among stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy, responsiveness, and customer focus.
- Strong understanding of service operations, field service delivery processes, project execution, and workforce utilization principles.
- Experience in capacity planning, demand forecasting, workload balancing, and resource optimization methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage escalations and facilitate decision-making in situations involving competing business priorities.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and sense of urgency in delivering results and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Experience working with planning, scheduling, ERP, or Field Service Management (FSM) tools and systems.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve planning effectiveness and resource utilization.
- Experience working in a regional or global organization,
including coordination of cross-border resource deployment and multicultural stakeholder engagement, is an advantage.
- Understanding of visa, work permit, immigration, and workforce mobility processes is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
- Ability and willingness to provide support for business-critical situations outside standard business hours when required.
