Mobile & Field Maintenance Planners - Mining

AAMG is seeking experienced Mobile & Field Maintenance Planners to join our growing Brisbane-based maintenance planning team supporting mining operations across Queensland.
These are Brisbane-based roles, providing an opportunity for experienced mining maintenance professionals to remain directly involved in heavy mobile equipment maintenance while moving away from traditional site-based FIFO/DIDO rosters.

We are specifically looking for planners with strong experience across mobile mining equipment and field maintenance environments.

The Opportunity:

As a Mobile or Field Maintenance Planner, you will work closely with site-based maintenance and execution teams to develop high-quality, executable maintenance plans for heavy mobile mining equipment.
The focus is simple: give the execution team everything they need to safely and efficiently complete the job.

Depending on your experience, your planning portfolio may include:

- Haul trucks
- Excavators and hydraulic mining shovels
- Drills
- Ancillary mining equipment
- Light and medium mobile equipment
- Major components and field maintenance activities

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed maintenance plans that are ready for execution, including:

- Planning preventative, corrective and backlog maintenance activities
- Developing detailed job scopes and work packages
- Reviewing defects, notifications and work requests
- Determining labour requirements and estimated job durations
- Identifying parts, materials, tooling and equipment requirements
- Planning field maintenance activities and equipment interventions
- Reviewing equipment maintenance history and recurring defects
- Planning major component replacements and equipment repairs
- Identifying specialist labour, lifting, access and support requirements




- Ensuring parts and resources are identified ahead of execution
- Identifying and escalating constraints that could impact execution
- Managing and improving maintenance backlog quality
- Working within defined maintenance planning horizons
- Liaising with site-based supervisors, superintendents and execution teams
- Incorporating execution feedback into future job plans
- Maintaining accurate planning information within the site's CMMS
- Supporting continuous improvement of maintenance planning standards and processes

About You:
We are looking for experienced maintenance professionals who understand heavy mobile mining equipment and what is required to execute maintenance successfully in the field.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous Mobile Maintenance or Field Maintenance Planning experience within mining
- Strong knowledge of heavy mobile mining equipment
- Heavy Diesel Fitter or relevant mechanical trade qualification highly regarded
- Practical understanding of field maintenance and mobile equipment execution
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling principles
- Experience developing detailed and executable maintenance work packages
- Experience planning major repairs and component replacements
- Strong understanding of parts, tooling, labour and resource requirements
- Experience using SAP, AMT, Pronto or similar maintenance management systems
- Ability to interpret OEM technical information, maintenance history and equipment documentation




- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and ownership of plan quality

Experience working with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hitachi or other major mining equipment OEMs will be highly regarded.

These positions provide the opportunity to continue working directly with mining operations and heavy equipment from Brisbane.

You will remain closely connected with site execution teams while working within a dedicated maintenance planning function focused on improving plan quality, equipment availability and execution performance.
