Centre Director – Lead Our Brand New Centre With Purpose

Harmony Early Education Paddington

Are you a leader who brings people together someone who builds strong teams, shapes culture, and leads with both courage and heart?

At Harmony Early Education Paddington, we are seeking a Centre Director who is not only operationally capable but deeply understands that great leadership shapes everything, the culture, the quality, the relationships, and every child’s first experience of belonging.

This is an opportunity to lead a thriving service with purpose, autonomy and genuine organisational support.

Be the Heart of Our Service

As Centre Director, you are more than a manager.

You are the steady anchor, the culturekeeper, and the leader who sets the tone for excellence every day. You will lead with:

- Purpose – keeping children at the centre of every decision
- Warmth – building trust, connection and genuine relationships
- Courage – holding standards and navigating challenges with clarity and integrity
- Vision – driving quality, growth and continuous improvement

At Harmony, leadership is trusted, supported and expected to make a real difference.

Our leaders are valued, supported and empowered through:

- A noncontact Centre Leadership Team – creating real capacity to lead, set standards and drive outcomes
- Dedicated Quality Managers – partnering with Centre Directors to strengthen learning environments and intentionally shape curriculum and practice
- Leadership support and coaching – providing the structure and guidance leaders need to thrive
- Strong operational and people support – so Centre Directors can focus on leadership, quality and growth, not just daytoday problem solving
- Quarterly offsite leadership forums and bimonthly development sessions – protected time for reflection, connection and meaningful growth

- Harmony Academy – leadership development that is practical, relevant and embedded in real centre challenges
- A culture of high trust, clear expectations and shared accountability
- 15% retention payment on top of Award – recognising commitment, stability and longterm leadership
- 75% childcare fee discount – supporting working parents

Our Commitment to Child & Cultural Safety

Protecting every child. Honouring every culture. Every day.

At Harmony, child and cultural safety are embedded in everything we do.

As Centre Director, you will champion safe, inclusive and respectful environments where every child and educator feels seen, safe and valued. You will lead a team that upholds the highest standards through strong governance, transparent processes, continuous learning, and meaningful partnerships with families and community.

Your Impact as Centre Director

In this role, you will:

- Build and nurture a highperforming, committed team
- Strengthen relationships with children, families and community
- Ensure safe, highquality environments and practices
- Lead curriculum excellence and reflective practice
- Drive occupancy growth and strong financial stewardship
- Foster a culture of wellbeing, collaboration and accountability
- Embed Harmony’s values and childsafe commitment into daily practice

You will have genuine influence over your centre’s culture, team and growth, with the autonomy to lead, supported to succeed.

About You

You are an experienced early childhood leader who combines solid operational capability with a genuine passion for creating exceptional outcomes for children, families and your team.

You bring:

- Proven experience leading an early learning service and delivering high-quality outcomes
- A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- Completion of the National Child Safety Training via Geccko, with a current Certificate of Completion
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS) and quality improvement practices
- A deep commitment to child safety, cultural safety and creating inclusive environments where every child belongs
- Kind, courageous leadership that builds trust, develops capability and inspires teams to thrive
- Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing performance, compliance, operations and continuous improvement initiatives
- You are comfortable balancing heart and accountability, supporting your people while driving strong performance, maintaining quality standards and creating a centre culture where children, families and educators flourish.
