Who we are
The NSW Early Learning Commission (Commission), established as the independent regulator for early childhood education and care (ECEC) in New South Wales on 1 December 2025, is responsible for regulating more than 6,000 ECEC services across the state.
Our role is to ensure services meet high standards of safety, quality, and compliance through ongoing assessment, monitoring and enforcement.
The Commission places children at the centre of all decision-making, working to ensure they are secure, respected, and supported to thrive in high-quality early learning environments that promote their development, wellbeing, and lifelong learning. It also drives continuous improvement across the sector through evidence-informed regulation and reform to strengthen community confidence in ECEC services.

About the role
As the Information and Enquiries Coordinator you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a service delivery team within a call-centre environment, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate, timely, high-quality responses and advice to customers and stakeholders relating to early childhood education and care (ECEC) services.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Monitoring and coordinating incoming enquiries, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation of serious matters
- Coaching and developing team capability to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service
- Analysing performance data and opportunities to improve systems, process and service delivery
- Preparing clear, evidence-based correspondence, reports and submissions

About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring leadership experience to guide and support a high-performing team. With a strong risk-based mindset and customer-centred approach, you will ensure timely, informed and effective responses to enquiries that contribute to safe and high-quality of ECEC services.
You will also demonstrate:
- Proven ability to lead, guide and support a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Confidence in coaching team members to navigate complex and sensitive customer interactions
- Strong critical-thinking skills to identify emerging trends, issues, assess risk and make timely and informed decisions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and guidance to team members and stakeholders
- Effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills to maintain consistent, high-quality service delivery
Essential requirements of the role
- Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of early childhood education and care.
