Support Workers (Logan & Ipswich)

We're looking for compassionate and dependable Support Workers to support participants across the
Logan and Ipswich regions, including Springfield, Springfield Lakes, Redbank Plains, Goodna, Riverview, Brassall, Ipswich, Forest Lake, Browns Plains, Crestmead, Marsden, Kingston and Logan Central.
This role involves supporting both Disability Services and Child Safety participants, helping people build independence, maintain routines, access their community and achieve the goals that matter most to them.

About Direct Care Resources
For more than 28 years, Direct Care Resources has supported people with complex care needs across South East Queensland.
We provide Supported Independent Living (SIL), disability support and Child Safety services, with a strong focus on safety, quality care and building meaningful relationships. Our approach is built on experience, clear communication and a genuine commitment to understanding the individual needs of every person we support.
As a Support Worker, you'll play an important role in supporting participants with complex needs, including people living with physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities, as well as children and young people in out-of-home care.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of your role, you will:
- Support people with everyday living activities, including household tasks, meal preparation, personal care and maintaining healthy routines.
- Assist people to attend school, appointments, recreational activities or community outings.
- Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing and respond appropriately to individual behavioural support needs.
- Complete shift notes, handovers and incident reporting accurately and professionally.
- Administer medication in line with policies, procedures and individual support plans.
- Travel across the region as required to provide community-based support.
About You
We're looking for people who bring genuine care and a strong sense of responsibility to their work.
You understand that great support is built through patience, consistency and respect. You're able to remain calm under pressure, communicate confidently and work professionally within clear boundaries.
You will also:
- Be adaptable and willing to support a range of participants and support environments.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be comfortable working independently while remaining connected to your team.
- Have flexible availability, including sleepovers, overnight shifts, weekends and varied roster patterns.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must hold, be currently completing, or be enrolled in a minimum Certificate IV qualification in one of the following:
- Community Services
- Disability
- Youth Work
- Mental Health
- Or a closely related field
Additional requirements include:
- Current Queensland Driver Licence (Open or P2)
- Reliable vehicle with registration and comprehensive insurance
- Eligibility to work in Australia (Passport or Birth Certificate)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Child Safety Division LCS2 Clearance
