About the role

Bright Start Childcare and Early Learning Centre is seeking an Experienced Early Childhood Educator - Diploma Qualified or experienced working toward to join our team in Warrnambool, VIC. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children and their families. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating nurturing, engaging and inclusive environments where children can learn, develop and thrive during their crucial early years.

What you'll be doing

- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate learning activities and experiences that promote children's cognitive, emotional, social and physical development

- Create safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environments that encourage exploration, creativity and curiosity

- Build positive relationships with children and support their individual learning needs and interests

- Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, development and experiences at the centre

- Work collaboratively with other educators and staff members to ensure consistent care and educational standards

- Support children's emotional wellbeing and help them develop social skills and resilience

- Maintain accurate and comprehensive observations and documentation of children's development and learning

- Implement health, safety and hygiene practices in accordance with regulatory requirements

- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain currency with best practices in early childhood education

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of centre policies and practices

What we're looking for

- A recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification

- Demonstrated experience working with children in early childhood education and care settings

- Strong knowledge of child development theories and contemporary early childhood pedagogies

- Ability to create inclusive,



respectful and engaging learning environments that support all children's development

- Excellent communication skills with children, families and colleagues

- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and wellbeing

- Sound understanding of child safeguarding, health and safety regulations and legislative requirements

- Ability to plan, implement and evaluate learning programs that are responsive to children's needs and interests

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Flexibility, patience and a calm approach to working with young children

- Current First Aid certification and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
