GM3 is inviting expressions of interest from experienced mining professionals for potential roles at Tahmoor Mine following the proposed recommencement of operations.
We are excited about the opportunity to support the next chapter of Tahmoor Mine and are looking for experienced people who would like to help build a secure, productive and sustainable operation.
Successful candidates for these roles will be employed by GM3 and are expected to be based at Tahmoor Mine following completion of the proposed acquisition.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the recommencement of a mine with a proud history, help rebuild operational capability and be part of a strong and experienced mining team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Superintendent, you will provide leadership across your department area, coordinating people, resources and priorities to ensure work is planned and executed safely, efficiently and in line with site requirements. You will support operational performance through strong planning, risk management, frontline leadership and collaboration across site.
Opportunities may be available across key operational department areas, including:
- Mine Services
- Weekend Operations
This role is based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong,
the Macarthur region and surrounding communities.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Lead safe and reliable execution of Mine Services or Weekend Operations activities.
- Coordinate people, equipment, contractors and resources to deliver daily and weekly plans.
- Manage operational risk, resolve planning conflicts and maintain production priorities.
- Monitor performance, report on KPIs and support corrective actions.
- Coach and support teams to build capability, accountability and safe work behaviours.
- Work collaboratively across site to improve execution and remove constraints.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring:
- Relevant mining, statutory or frontline leadership qualifications, including tertiary qualifications, a Diploma of Underground Mining Management, Second Class Certificate of Competence or frontline management qualification.
- Experience in underground coal mining, with exposure to production execution, mine services, operational support or weekend operations.
- Proven capability leading teams in a complex operational environment, including coaching, mentoring and developing others.
- Strong safety leadership, planning, risk management and operational decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate, influence and work effectively across multi-functional teams and stakeholder groups.
- Experience managing contractors, budgets and operational performance at a team or functional level.
