- Casual Appointment.
- Teaching $91.42 - 98.77 p/h + 12% super (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Chadstone Campus – onsite parking and close proximity to public transport.

About the Department

Join Holmesglen’s Design and Finishing Trades Department, delivering industry-connected programs across furniture manufacturing, upholstery, fashion, interior design and other finishing trades. With strong industry partnerships and programs ranging from Certificate II to advanced diploma and degree level, we’re committed to providing practical, current and career-focused learning.

About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate Teacher – Furniture, Joinery and Manufacturing to deliver engaging, hands-on training and support students to build practical skills for industry. You’ll develop and deliver innovative learning and assessment, create relevant resources, and build strong industry connections while working collaboratively with a supportive teaching team to achieve great outcomes for students.

To be successful, you’ll have:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications.
- Hold a relevant trade qualification in Furniture, Joinery, Manufacturing or a related discipline, with relevant industry experience.
- Strong teaching and assessment skills, with the ability to deliver flexible, learner-centred VET programs.
- Current industry knowledge and a sound understanding of VET requirements, standards and practices.
- The ability to create inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environments for diverse students.
- Strong communication,



organisation and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and industry.
- Digital literacy, adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

WWCC and Police Check:

Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
