Alpha Finance is a specialist direct-to-consumer car finance and lease business, part of the Gubecka Group. We're entering the next phase of our growth and looking to establish our own brokerage within the Group. This is a founding hire: you'll be writing deals and building the thing that lets deals get written properly, from workflows and compliance rhythm through to systems, while you write business from day one.

You'll have the backing of a team who wants to think about how brokering can be done differently, better and more efficiently. We're prioritising AI and automation where it makes sense, and we want someone who thinks outside the box to help modernise how brokering gets done. We still need to do it the right way, but we want someone who's willing to ask if it can be done differently, and better.

You might already be a broker. You might instead have come from brokerage operations or compliance, worked as a BDM for an aggregator, run your own brokerage before, or managed finance at a dealership. What matters most is the builder mindset, not the exact path that got you here, though you will need to hold your Cert IV. That part isn't negotiable.

About the role
This is a unique role, at least early on: broker and builder





- Write finance deals like any broker, matching customers to the right product, managing applications through to settlement

- Build the operating backbone of the brokerage as you go: workflow, compliance processes, tech

- Look for ways to bring AI and automation into how the brokerage runs, without cutting corners on doing it right

- Identify opportunities in processes to make your day-to-day easier, and the journey and experience better for our customers

- Make early calls, with the oversight of the General Manager, on how the function runs, and own the outcomes of those calls

- Work hands-on, not from a strategy seat. This role is about doing, not delegating

- Help shape lender relationships and referral channels from scratch

About you

- Could come from broking, brokerage operations or compliance, aggregator BDM, dealer finance, or having run your own brokerage before. The path matters less than the mindset

- Genuinely comfortable with ambiguity, no playbook exists yet, you're writing it

- A builder mentality, you'd rather set up the system than wait for one to appear

- Curious about AI and automation, and keen to apply it to a traditionally old school industry

- Comfortable in a lean, automation-led workplace, commercially minded

- Sound judgement and a straight-talking approach with customers and colleagues alike

- A hungry salesperson at heart, but never at the expense of doing right by the customer or the business

- Someone who lives our values: you find the right way to get a deal done, not just any way, and you say it straight even when it's not the easy answer
