About the role

We are seeking a driven and experienced Duty Manager to join the team at the Lighthouse Hotel. As the Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of this popular hospitality venue. This full time position is based in Burnett Heads, Queensland.

What you'll be doing

- Overseeing and coordinating all staff activities to deliver exceptional customer service

- Handling reservation inquiries, managing bookings, and liaising with customers

- Monitoring inventory levels and purchasing supplies as needed

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

- Providing leadership and guidance to the front-of-house team

- Assisting the General Manager with operational and administrative duties

What we're looking for





- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry

- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team

- Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to handle high-pressure situations

- Proficiency in using hospitality management software and point-of-sale systems

- Thorough understanding of food hygiene, liquor licensing, and workplace safety regulations

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

- Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
