3rd or 4th Year Plumbing Apprentice – Join the Marsmen Team
Marsmen Plumbing is a progressive, family-owned plumbing business based in Perth. We have a team of approximately 11 qualified plumbers and 3 apprentices, servicing commercial and residential clients across both north and south of the river.
We are currently looking for a motivated 3rd or 4th Year Plumbing Apprentice who wants to finish their apprenticeship with a company that can offer plenty of variety, hands-on experience and opportunities to develop their skills.
About the Role
This is not a position where you will be doing the same type of work every day. You will work alongside a range of experienced plumbers across commercial and residential maintenance, installations, fit-outs and project works.
Your work may include:
- Burst pipe repairs
- Blocked drains and sewer works
- Tap servicing and replacements
- Toilet repairs and replacements
- Hot water system replacements and maintenance
- Gas installations and repairs
- Plumbing fault finding
- Emergency and reactive maintenance
- Scheduled commercial maintenance
- Commercial office fit-outs
- High-rise and low-rise building works
- Shop fit-outs
- General plumbing installations
- Project works and occasional out-of-town work
You will work with different plumbers within the company, giving you exposure to the various areas of plumbing and gas work that Marsmen operates in.
We want someone who is keen to finish their trade, improve their skills and become a confident, well-rounded plumber.
Who We're Looking For
- The position would suit someone who is currently a 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprentice
- Has approximately 2 years or more plumbing experience
- Has a current driver's license

- Is positive, motivated and willing to learn
- Works well as part of a team
- Is a hard worker with valuable common sense
- Can think ahead and problem-solve
- Has good attention to detail
- Takes pride in completing work to a high standard
- Is confident completing straightforward tasks independently when required
- Can remain calm and think clearly when dealing with breakdowns and unexpected situations
We aren't expecting you to know everything – you're still an apprentice. What we do expect is a good attitude, willingness to learn and the motivation to become a quality tradesperson.
What We Offer- Marsmen offers:
- An attractive salary package
- Work vehicle for suitable applicants
- Phone allowance
- Company uniform
- Ongoing training
- Exposure to a wide variety of plumbing and gas work
- Training and mentoring from experienced plumbers
- Commercial, residential and project experience
- Occasional out-of-town/adventure work
- Well-paid weekend and night work when required
