Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Clerical Services Officer to join our growing team on a Casual Basis.
We are seeking a customer-focused and adaptable Clerical Services Officer to provide high-quality administrative, reception, and patient support services across Latrobe Regional Health. As a key member of the Clerical Services team, you will contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of clinical areas by supporting patient admissions, managing enquiries, maintaining accurate records, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role plays an important part in supporting patient-centred care across acute, sub-acute, and mental health services.

The role of the Clerical Services Officer is to:
- Provide qualified reception and administrative services, including answering phone enquiries, greeting patients and visitors, managing mail, and maintaining accurate records.
- Process patient admissions, discharges, transfers, and related documentation, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with organisational procedures.
- Maintain patient records, enter activity data and statistics, and utilise hospital systems and Microsoft Office programs effectively.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff while responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support efficient patient flow and contribute to the achievement of team and organisational goals.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, audits, training, and quality initiatives while maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, confidentiality, and safety standards.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Experienced in customer service, administration, or reception,
ideally within a healthcare or fast-paced service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and welcoming approach.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- High attention to detail with demonstrated experience in accurate data entry, record management, and administrative processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to quickly learn healthcare information systems such as iPM, Sunrise, and CMI.
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning, teamwork, and delivering high-quality customer service and patient care.
