Rae Recruitment are partnering with a growing accounting firm, located on St Kilda Road, who are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join their team.

With around 60 staff and continued growth, this role is less focused on traditional practice management and more centred around leading projects, improving systems and driving operational efficiencies across the firm. Working closely with the Partners, you'll play a key role in shaping how the business continues to grow.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Practice Manager, your role would include, but is not limited to;

- Lead and oversee the administration team, including workflow allocation, recruitment, onboarding and ongoing support
- Act as a key liaison between Partners, staff and the administration team
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including facilities, suppliers, contractors, parking and WFH arrangements
- Coordinate office projects, fit-outs and broader operational initiatives
- Review, implement and maintain office processes, systems and procedures
- Coordinate firm-wide events, functions and team activities
- Manage accounts payable, banking, reconciliations and financial administration through MYOB
- Manage payroll, superannuation, payroll tax and IAS requirements




- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding and maintain HR records
- Manage annual compliance, professional memberships, registrations and insurance renewals
- Support the Partners with broader operational and firm-wide projects as required

About You

- Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Operations Manager or similar role within a public practice accounting firm
- A passion for improving systems and finding better ways of doing things
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership of projects
