About Us
The Construction Industry Training Centre (CITC), is a leading Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code 0647) based in Adelaide, with additional operations in Whyalla, Port Pirie, Mount Gambier, Port Lincoln and Roxby Downs.
For over 30 years, we’ve been proudly delivering high-quality, legislated, and safety-related training, including High Risk Work Licencing across industries such as Construction, Mining, Transport and Warehousing, Manufacturing, Forestry, Primary Industry, and Defence.
The CITC provides both public training courses and customised on-site training solutions, empowering our clients and their teams to meet industry standards safely and effectively.
About the Role
Due to continued business growth, the CITC is seeking an experienced Trainer/Assessor to join our Adelaide team.
This position can be full-time, casual, or contractor-based, depending on your qualifications and experience.
We are looking for a professional who is passionate about delivering engaging, compliant, and quality training to a diverse range of learners.
Key Training Areas
We are seeking candidates with qualifications and verifiable industry experience in the following:
High Risk and Safety Activities
· White Card
· Work Safely at Heights
· Confined Space Entry
· Gas Testing
Additionally the following would also be highly regarded;
Desirable Additional Training Areas
· Scissor Lift and/or Under 11m Boom Lift
· Gantry Crane
· Asbestos Awareness
· Silica Awareness
· Load Shifting Equipment (Backhoe LB, Excavator LE, Front End Loader LL, Skid Steer Loader LS)
High Risk Work (HRW) Licence Classes
· Forklift
· Elevated Work Platform
· Dogging
· Cranes
· Scaffolding
· Rigging
Key Responsibilities
As part of the CITC training team, you will:
· Deliver training at our Adelaide facility and client sites across South Australia
· Ensure training outcomes meet legislative and industry standards
· Contribute to the development of training materials and resources
· Collaborate with operations and management teams
· Represent the CITC brand with professionalism and integrity
· Travel within South Australia as required
Skills and Experience
· Proven industry experience and practical knowledge
· Proficiency with computers and training delivery tools
· Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
· Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
· Robust work ethic and commitment to safety and compliance
· Ability to establish client relations and develop networks within the region
· Minimum 2 years’ experience holding and using relevant HRW Licences
Key Selection Criteria
· Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) – or willingness to obtain
· Demonstrated currency of training capability
· Current Units of Competence
· Relevant HRW Licences
· Minimum 2 years’ relevant industry experience
· Current driver’s licence
Additional Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to:
· Undertake a Working with Children Check (WWCC)
· Complete a pre-employment medical and police check (as required)
