The role:

We're looking for a Motor Claims Settlements Manager who's passionate about developing people and driving results. As our new Settlements Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the Settlements Department in achieving key outcomes on all settlement claims related matters, while contributing to the strategic direction of the business.

Key Accountabilities:

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment & developing the technical capability of your teams
- Develop and implement effective strategies for the negotiation and settlement of third-party motor insurance claims, ensuring optimal outcomes
- Ensure all settlements comply with legal, regulatory, and company policy requirements
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies in the settlement function
- Analyse settlement data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with claims settlements, including fraud

What experience you’ll bring:

- Strong people leadership experience in performance management, coaching, mentoring, and staff development, with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and build high-performing teams through a proactive and energetic approach that drives the business forward
- Experience in ensuring adherence to GICOP and regulatory obligations




- Ability to manage a demanding workload and adapt to changing priorities and market conditions, along with sound judgment and ability to make timely and effective decisions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and reporting including the ability to assess complex situations, identify key issues, and develop effective solutions
