ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Fleet Services Consultant to join the Custom Fleet team and play a key role in ensuring that all client requests via telephone or email are complied with and executed within required time frames. This ensures that all interactions with both internal and external customers are professional and of a consistently high standard to achieve desired results for both Custom Fleet and our customers.
Essential Duties
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts; including customer agreements, supplier contracts, service agreements and other commercial agreements. Provide strategic, business-focused legal advice to internal stakeholders regarding contract terms and ensure that all agreements align with the company’s business objectives and risk appetite.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and assess the impact of relevant regulatory changes and advise the business on their implications. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to the business, with experience advising on compliance, privacy and data protection issues.
- Legal Disputes & Risk Management: Manage and support the resolution of legal disputes, including potential litigation.
Conduct risk assessments related to ongoing or potential legal issues and provide guidance on mitigation strategies.
- Corporate Governance & Compliance: Advise on corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies. Support the development and implementation of compliance programs, helping the organization to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- General Legal Support: Provide general legal advice on a range of matters impacting the business, including intellectual property, data protection, privacy and marketing.

ABOUT YOU
- Hold a Law Degree coupled with a current Australia legal practitioner’s practicing certificate.
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience gained in a major law firm and/or in-house role.
- Provide accurate, commercially focused, and timely legal advice, supported by excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and business insight, with proven expertise in drafting and negotiation.
- Thrive in collaborative environments and contribute effectively as a reliable and proactive team player.
Education & Experience - Essential
- Law degree (LLB or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years PQE.
Education & Experience - Other
- Experience in financial services.
