GM3 is inviting expressions of interest from experienced mining professionals for potential roles at Tahmoor Mine following the proposed recommencement of operations.
We are excited about the opportunity to support the next chapter of Tahmoor Mine and are looking for experienced people who would like to help build a protected, productive and sustainable operation.
Successful candidates for these roles will be employed by GM3 and are expected to be based at Tahmoor Mine following completion of the proposed acquisition.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, the Surveyor will provide timely and accurate surveying services to support safe, compliant and efficient operations at Tahmoor Mine.
This role is based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong, the Macarthur region and surrounding communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide accurate underground surveying services, maintain survey models, plans and records,
and support compliance with survey management requirements.
- Support safe mine planning and operations by providing technical advice, spatial data and surveying support to leaders and operational teams.
- Carry out subsidence checks, assist with hazard and risk management plans, and contribute to investigations and corrective actions where required.
- Develop survey procedures, support underground survey activities and work collaboratively with Engineering, Longwall, Development and Coal Clearance teams.
- Participate in regular technical services and cross-site meetings to review performance, share knowledge and support continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor of Engineering (surveying); Bachelor of Surveying or Diploma in Surveying or equivalent.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence across various levels of the business.
- Demonstrated deep knowledge and experience related to effective management of geographically dispersed teams.
- 3 years as surveyor at an Australian mine site.
- 1 year underground coal mining experience.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute, influence and make decisions within multi-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to select, develop, coach and mentor employees resulting in improved engagement, diversity, and organisational capability.
