Job Description
As Assistant Venue Manager, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day operation of a premium rooftop venue while also providing support across an adjoining dining concept and event spaces. The rooftop trades as an elevated, table-service environment during the week before transitioning into a high-volume, late-night destination on weekends.
Working closely with senior venue leadership, you will be responsible for maintaining service standards, supporting the team through busy periods and ensuring operations run smoothly across several connected areas of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily rooftop operations, including service, staffing and guest experience
- Leading teams through high-volume evening and late-night trade
- Maintaining strong beverage standards with a focus on premium and high-end products
- Supporting the operation of an adjoining premium dining venue, ensuring service standards are maintained
- Providing operational oversight across private event spaces where staffing and resources are shared
Candidate Profile
This role will suit an experienced hospitality leader who enjoys fast-paced, high-energy environments but understands the detail required to deliver premium service. You will be confident managing significant trade volumes, comfortable working late nights and weekends, and experienced within sophisticated beverage-led venues.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous management or senior supervisory experience within a premium bar, rooftop or high-volume hospitality venue
- Strong knowledge of premium beverages, bar operations and elevated service standards
- Experience leading teams in busy, late-night environments
- The ability to balance hands-on operational leadership with oversight across multiple areas
- Flexibility to work late nights and weekends as part of a rotating management roster
