Supervisor - Resource Recovery Operations
Supervise and lead the Resource Recovery operational team and coordinate operations with a safety-first culture and a business-like approach to customer service, operational efficiency and increased resource recovery.
- Lead, supervise and motivate the Resource Recovery operational team, ensuring a positive, safety-first and customer-focused workplace culture.
- Coordinate day-to-day Resource Recovery Centre operations, including the weighbridge, transfer station, Re-market Shop, disposal areas and site infrastructure.
- Ensure operational activities comply with relevant WHS, environmental and regulatory requirements, including EPA requirements and Council procedures.
- Coordinate staff rosters, contractors, plant and resources while supporting efficient operations, increased resource recovery and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role, with the ability to lead, motivate and coordinate a team to achieve operational goals.
- Experience in waste, resource recovery, recycling or a similar operational environment, with an understanding of waste diversion and resource recovery practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience applying WHS and environmental requirements, including landfill/environmental management plans and safe operating practices.
- Strong customer service, communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills,
with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Solid organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise competing operational demands, manage resources and meet agreed timeframes.
- A current Class C Driver Licence and WorkCover WHS General Induction for Construction Work in NSW.

- A full-time, permanent position (38 hours per week) working as part of a rotating roster inclusive of weekends.
- Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with appointment in the range of $1,403.59 to $1,626.28 per week (dependent upon skills and experience)
