This opportunity will see you play a key role in designing and implementing secure remote access solutions that enhance organisational security, connectivity, and operational resilience.

Your new role
As a Network Architect / Network Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade VPN and remote access solutions aligned with security best practices, business objectives, and modern architecture standards.You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and project teams to deliver secure connectivity solutions while ensuring high levels of performance, reliability, and compliance.What you'll need to succeed
Essential Experience

- Proven experience designing, configuring, and supporting enterprise Remote Access VPN solutions.
- Strong knowledge of VPN technologies and protocols, including IPsec and SSL/TLS VPN.
- Experience implementing modern encryption standards and secure cipher configurations, including TLS 1.2/1.3 and certificate-based authentication.
- Expertise with Windows Server VPN technologies such as RRAS and NPS, and/or enterprise VPN platforms including Cisco and Palo Alto.
- Strong understanding of network security, including firewall management, NAT, and network segmentation.
- Experience with endpoint deployment and configuration tools such as Group Policy, Microsoft Intune, or equivalent platforms.




- Knowledge of system hardening and security patching aligned with industry-recognised standards and benchmarks.
- Demonstrated experience delivering VPN upgrades, migrations, and modernisation projects.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across VPN connectivity, authentication, and performance-related issues.
- Exposure to hybrid and cloud-based connectivity solutions such as Azure VPN Gateway.

Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering phased rollouts and controlled pilot deployments across enterprise user groups.
- Strong technical documentation skills, including configuration documentation, operational procedures, and support handover materials.
- Previous involvement in security-focused transformation or infrastructure uplift programs.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices relating to network and remote access security.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) principles and architectures.
- Experience with SIEM, monitoring, and logging solutions for VPN and network activity monitoring.
